With the cooler, less humid, weather, my morning walk is offering spectacularly clear skies, star filled to begin with and then the color of a rising sun. Here’s a sequence of three pictures from this morning; in the first you can see a “shadow beam” across the sky, from a cloud below the horizon:
Quite a tradition now that we spend Margaret’s birthday at Disney Magic Kingdom – and this year we had to go on two days, because we couldn’t book the Crystal Palace character lunch, the first day … It’s Halloween at Disney, too, with pumpkin themes everywhere!
Returning the second day, for lunch with Winnie The Pooh and friends:
It turns out that the stick insect I saw a few months ago is not so impressive after all! We saw a huge (4″ long”) stick insect this week – actually two, since there’s a smaller one on the back of the bigger (male/female pair presumably).
And then today, I saw another pair, one the screen of our pool / patio!
Now for anyone bothered by insects, here first is a picture of our screened pool and patio; the stick insect is just to the left of the corner pillar but you can’t see it in this picture (it’s not that big!):
