Previous MINIs I’ve owned have turned on a lamp if they detect a problem with tire pressures, and that’s it – this new Clubman is much more fancy, showing a graphic warning above the steering wheel that even points to the suspect tire; the center console display goes further, showing actual pressures:
Sadly, the car is correct; one tire was down to about 10psi – and it’s clear why; there’s a screw in it (the downside of living in a new home development I suppose):
Not sure it’s fixable; I’ve heard that it’s hard to get runflat tires plugged (the annoying bit is that this tire has only done about 600 miles!)
