For the next part of our Egypt vacation, we transferred to a River Nile cruise boat the MS Chateau Lafayette. Curiously we transferred onto the boat in the evening (before we visited the Philae Temple for the second time), but didn’t leave Aswan till the next lunchtime!
On the River Nile there are many cruise boats and they often dock together – so you might be against the bank making it easy to get off, or you might have to walk through 2 or 3 (or even as many as 6 or 7!) other boats to get between your boat and the dock (you also have to really pay attention since you might not be able to see your boat when you return!).
