Jordan: Wadi Rum

We added Wadi Rum to our Jordan trip, mostly because I wanted the chance to see famously clear star views – sadly it turned out that our itinerary was too short to allow that (so maybe another trip to Wadi Rum one day, as well as to Petra!)

We got to the camp site very late, and it turns out there’s lighting everywhere so no stars! I did take a walk away from the camp and managed a bit of star gazing, but it wasn’t what I’d hoped for …

The next morning we were supposed to have a three hour off-road drive into Wadi Rum but travel plans messed that up, shortening it to a quicker but still amazing drive:

From Wadi Rum a four hour highway drive back to Amman, and dropping our friend Sherry at the airport for her afternoon flight; meanwhile we have a couple more nights in Amman …
