Cincinnati – Over The Rhine & Findlay Market

We switched from Dayton to Cincinnati, and walked / bused from our hotel to Findlay Market (there’s a completely free tram service in the city). Findlay Market offers many permanent stalls including butchers, bakers, produce, local trinkets … if I lived in Cincinnati I’d be visiting here regularly!

Findlay Market is in an area of the city called Over The Rhine which has murals everywhere! I photographed a lot of them …

Finally here’s an assortment of architecture in the city, and one of the many bridges that cross the Ohio river …

Carillon Historical Park

We headed to Ohio for a few days, to “tick off” that state – after our recent North West / Alaska trip, we now have only Hawaii to visit as the 50th state!

We visited Carillon Historical Park because it has a Wright Brothers museum complete with original Wright Flyer III; the park also had a “railroad” which wraps around the site (with electric train complete with pretend steam and sounds!) so we rode that first (we also visited an old-style print shop) …
