We took a trip starting/ending in Philadelphia, to see the English Premier Soccer team Newcastle United play – but we also visited a few more states, heading towards our goal of visiting (staying in) every state! We first drove to Annapolis so we could check Maryland off; turns out to be a cute small town with lovely waterfront area, here’s some views from our walkabout:
We spent a wonderful, cute and sometimes hilarious evening petting and feeding baby goats (and bigger ones too) and we’d do it again for sure! It’s a ticketed event with occasional dates through the early summer, and be sure to purchase both entry and the feed bottles if you want the best experience.
There were about 30 people at the event, and the young goats arrived in a crazy fast flood, leaping on to tables and trying to grab the milk bottles – after a short while things calmed down a little as goats and feeders got together. After that initial burst of activity we were all allowed to hang around for up to an hour, petting the goats, even picking them up, feeding them with grass pellets, taking photos … a wonderful evening.

Winter Garden has an annual fireworks display at Newton Park by Lake Apopka; we often miss it because we are away, but this year we enjoyed the event – here’s a little video of the night:
