GP0203 – very special MINI
Prompted by AprilWhine, I checked the Wallenius Wilhelmsen cargo tracking website today, and GPMINI is on the Liberty (which apparently used to be called the Faust)!
GPMINI is part of a group of 39 other GPs, presumably all headed to Monterey … they are expected to land on US soil at the end of this month.

Yes a Mini, not a MINI … Julian at Sublime Restorations just bought this Mini – it looks great and it’ll be very interesting to see what he does with it …
Why was I there? To pick up some toggle switch panel rings that Julian had painted Chili Red for me; they look pretty good on the toggle switch panel 🙂
After last weeks CA tax rant, I’m extremely pleased to say there has been a happy outcome – I received this email from MINI USA this afternoon:
… If you are not a resident of the State of California and you receive any type of correspondence from the State of California regarding the JCW GP Kit Delivery program held in Monterey, please send it directly to us and we will handle the inquiries and response on your behalf. You will not be responsible to pay the State of California Use Tax …
