GBMINI#8 (Clubman)

Thanks to my MA Pratik at Orlando MINI, I now know that my next MINI is on the ship Brasilia Highway, somewhere in the Atlantic ocean! Online ship tracking seems limited; the last known position is a few days ago:

K-Line has no tracking service, but their shipping schedule details match Pratik’s information, that the car left Southampton on December 28th, 2015; it appears to be headed for Brunswick, GA, arriving in about a week.

So unless there’s any delays at VPC, I think the car should be at the dealership by about the 20th …

It’s been a long time since the last MINI USA website tracking update, and I really hope that the car has been en route for a while already! It seems a curious coincidence that right after my comments yesterday, the website finally updates – but at least it has now updated!

With the introduction of the new 2016 MINI Clubman (and of course the cancellation of the old model a long time ago), there was a huge jump in Clubman sales for the last month of 2015:

Sadly, none of them were my new car which, according to the MINI USA Owner’s Lounge, remains “awaiting transport“! I find it very hard to believe that a newly built car has been sitting at the Southampton docks for more than two weeks, but there’s no other information available – even calling 1-866-ASK-MINI gave me nothing, since their computers were down today.
The VIN doesn’t show on the Wallenius Wilhelmsen tracking website which means either it IS still at the docks, or it’s sailing with a different company (like K Line) that doesn’t provide any tracking.
