Once I’d reached my home town of Gloucester, I parked and decided to take pictures of MINIs as they went by (rather sporadically due to traffic!) … if I didn’t take your MINI, sorry 😉
After leaving Anthonys Pier 4, we followed a slow, traffic light and pothole filled route that must have been designed to lose as many MINIs as possible! I was near the front of the group, and soon we were a group of less than 10 MINIs – but still, it was fun 🙂
When we arrived at the Man At Wheel statue in Gloucester, there was no parking for 200 MINIs (too many tourists!), so we blocked the roads for a while …
This morning, I headed early in to Boston to go to “Pier 4” … well, it turns out that I should have gone to Anthonys Pier 4, and not the Pier 4 that Google Maps knows! So after a few un-necessary trips back and forth through various Boston tunnels, and a helpful phone call from George, I arrived at the correct place and joined MANY other MINIs – I counted over TWO HUNDRED before we headed off for the rally!
Eventually, off to the cars, to be waved off by Rauno and escorted through Boston by city police – 200 MINIs head north east along pothole and traffic light ridden roads (I wonder if more than half made it to the end!):
