Gelato Junction

After dinner tonight, we headed to Gelato Junction in town, which we’d seen earlier and looked like a good place for dessert, offering both Gelato and traditional creamy options – to find we were being welcomed!

Some quite unusual flavors – Sweet Potato gelato for example! But I found Yellow Cake ice cream, rich and sweet and fabulous!

And best of all … when we went to pay for the ice cream, we discovered that MINI USA was paying for it all! Thanks, MINI 🙂

MTTS un-organized

Sadly, tonight at Grand Junction seems to be un-organized (or de-organized) by MINI Takes The States; before we left, MINI sent out a link to print travel details – for Grand Junction this includes “The City of Grand Junction has been awaiting our arrival and has reserved Main Street just for us. Only MINIs allowed!”; that sounds like fun – but it’s apparently not true!
The online document today has that description removed, and I found some organizers putting up flags that said “nothing planned tonight”.
If we’d known that ahead of time, we would have skipped Grand Junction and gone straight to Winter Park and MINIs in the Mountains for an extra day.
Oh well … at least the hotel next door is expecting us (though curiously not the host Hampton Inn that we are at!):
