Margaret & I flew back down to Florida today, for a few days away from the snow; we flew down with neighbor Pat, who then headed off to her daughter in Sarasota, while we stayed at 8002 with Joanne & Earle, who have been trying out winter in Florida and staying at 8002 for the last few weeks (and for a couple more weeks still). As thanks, they prepared a lovely dinner for us this evening 🙂
For the first time in almost two years, in preparation for an extended visit by friends in a few weeks, our second home at 8002 is emptied!
At least, “our” room, clothes drawers, closet, have all been moved elsewhere!
All that rain yesterday and through the night brought MANY worms out of the soil – and a large number committed suicide in the pool! But a few minutes of net-fishing cleared it all out (although I’m not keen to go in the below 70 degree water – heavily cooled by the rain):
Later today, sadly, it’s time to head back North – though no doubt Chloe will be happy to see us!
