I watched the storm to the west last night – captured some lightning on video but the occasional strike in three minutes of video seems not interesting enough to post! Instead, I also took a couple of pictures after the sun set, as the sky got dark:
The finished pool
Yesterday and through the night, we filled the pool; today Atlas Pools returned to finish installing the plumbing fixtures, and set the pump running. They also put chemicals in the water, which sadly mean we can’t go in till at least Sunday – but it’s pretty, and with the pump running, we get to see the bubbler jet and “sheer descent” waterfall!
I also put together a build sequence video – with “action” flowing water from the two minutes point …
Filling the pool
Yesterday, crew came and finished the pool interior with a “Magicolor” aqua pearl finish, lightly textured for non-slip, and patterned to a blueish finish. Today, one person returned to clean the finish, and install the drains, and then we started filling it!
We filled the hot tub, too, until it spilled over (the granite spillway isn’t installed yet):
