A walk to Newton Park today had me see a Sandhill Crane on the way, and a couple of Alligators when I got there – one posing nicely for a photo!

Our return from England was delayed two days due to plane problems and we finally got home late Christmas Eve, but I still woke very early this morning due to the five hour time difference – and took a walk downtown (desolate before 6am and of course all businesses closed) …
Winter Garden Fire Rescue Annual Santa Run 2023
Since we moved to Stanton Estates, we’ve been included in the Santa Run route that the fire department does throughout Winter Garden, over a few nights approaching the holidays … our homes location means that we see the run pass behind us (visible from the upstairs rear balcony) and then a few minutes later they run down the street in front! This year I grabbed a few seconds of video of each pass:
