Winter Garden tree lighting 2015

Unlike last year, we headed to Winter Garden downtown early this year, got parked and had dinner before the tree lighting – smart move because it’s popular and busy! When we arrived, we were greeted with a big sign and lighted trees (but not the big one, yet):

There’s quite a few people already, with more than an hour to go; the tree is decorated, but not yet lit:

After dinner, and sunset, it’s tree lighting time!

Perhaps more impressive, Winter Garden City Hall had a projection system set up to give beautiful changing images:

It’s a nice town we live in 🙂

Winter Garden Independence Day 2015

Back “up north” we sometimes spent the Independence Day celebrations with a Red, White and Blue breakfast organized by the Manchester Rotary Club, and later a parade through Manchester, or Gloucester … I posted pictures long ago!
This year we joined Winter Garden for their breakfast organized by the Masonic Lodge, and then a very different parade – mainly of children on their decorated bicycles:

Crooked Can craft brewery

Today’s MINIs Of Orlando meeting was at our new and local Plant Street Market which opened in Winter Garden a couple months ago and features various stores – and a popular craft brewery, too … I guess craft beer is attractive to MINI owners – the event was well attended (we also got a tour of the brewery, interesting!)

Oh – and I found a beer that I might like – if I drank beer (“Russian Imperial Stout“).
