Margaret took this picture earlier today, of a Turkey that decided to visit our “deck by the pond”!

Ferns
The ferns in our back garden are coming back amazingly well this year! Each winter they die off, but I suppose underground the roots are getting stronger – this years ferns are bigger than ever, really healthy (for now, till the hot dry summer arrives), and spreading further along and between the rocks!

Tree trimming
A couple weeks ago, I cut down a tree between our driveway and Joanne & Earle’s house – it overhung the driveway and littered the cars too much; I also took the bottom branch off a tree in our back garden, that was right down to the ground and made mowing the grass quite tricky around it.
That worked so well for mowing, that this past weekend, we took the lowest branches off the fir tree in the front garden, to make it look better and easier to care for, too … here’s “before” and “after” pictures:

I used my Spear & Jackson saw that my Nan & Grandad purchased for me years ago – it still works, and gives me good memories 🙂
