Pat and Dave have a Baltimore Oriole nest in the Oak tree in their front garden, and asked me to photograph it:
After the front garden was landscaped in 2007, the edges of the new turf died in the hot summer when outside watering was banned – Margaret recently has been working to get grass back, putting down good seeding soil, and seed … today, the first evidence that it is working 🙂

One of my favourite things in the garden – I just love how it looks, with nature (Ivy & Lichen) slowly taking it over! Margaret wants me to discard it, or replace it with a bench that could actually be sat on, but I keep refusing!
In the same area of the garden, is one very happy & successful Hosta (that will get MUCH bigger as the year progresses); a few other Hostas that don’t grow so big, too …
