A big snow storm

This latest storm did exactly what was predicted – light snow late yesterday, turning to a much stronger overnight storm, leaving about 14″ (on top of all that we’ve had already this year, since very little has melted). And I took some photos 😉

Finally, we clear snow all the way to to the road so that the Audi is clear (but so far the BMW remains buried!); you can see here once again how the council leaves much of the road uncleared, making digging out much more challenging (on top of the plowed road being tipped on to what I have to clear):

The intrepid snow clearer measures snow depth – 14″ of new snow on top of a few feet of piled up from previous storms:

Between the storms

Two snow storms in the last few days, and the snow piles are getting quite high now – this is just the snow cleared from our driveway; yesterdays storm hadn’t got very serious when I left for work in the morning, and was gone by mid afternoon so the roads coming home were perfectly clear and safe!

But while the sky is clear blue and beautiful today, with strong sunshine, weather predictions say it’s going to get very cold (below 0f!) and maybe a big snow storm mid next week (where big means up to TWO FEET of snow, on top of all that we have already) …
