The weather today was warm enough to work on the pond – we put the pump and filters back and got out some of the leaves from last Fall, but the water is too green to see much:
Within a week, with the filters and UV lamp working, the pond should go clear …
We’ve had weather warm enough to sit outside for lunch, and there are Daffodil shoots in the ground, but today we got about 3″ of heavy wet snow – not enough to bother clearing the drive before heading to work, but enough to make Spring seem a long time away!
At least when it snows again, it re-colors the piles from ugly brown to pristine white! Perhaps 3″ so far (started falling in the night) and a few hours to go yet …
Still comparing cameras, and today the Sony A55V DSLR came out on top; it’s wider field of view gives a much better impression of the weather and today it got the white balance / color better than the HTC Inspire 4G phone camera …
The HTC Inspire added a very strange “warm blob” to the middle of this picture, no idea why; but a second shot did the same – somehow the camera’s color correction went crazy this morning!
