… and that’s what a heap of leaves did, off just one tree, this last weekend! Most trees dropped their leaves a while back, but the Oaks in Pat & Dave’s front garden hold their leaves through the winter – except, they dropped loads during heavy rain recently. This is the outcome:
Last weekend, we visited C.B.Fisk in Gloucester, for their “Opus 134” open day – “Opus 134” is their name for a huge organ they are manufacturing, to be installed in Covenant Presbyterian Church in Nashville, TN. Here is a mock-up of what it will look like when finished and installed:
The finished organ stands about 50ft high – but the display room at C.B.Fisk was only 30ft high, so there was no way to photograph all of it since it wasn’t even all assembled, but I did my best – the “machine” was fascinating – a complicated assemblage of beautiful wood, steel, levers, linkages, tubes, and electronics!
