A big sunflower

Margaret planted some sunflower seeds in the garden earlier this year, and the first has now fully opened. We took a few photos over the last few days as it opened, and showing how tall it is (and how much more it grew in about four days!) …

Those last two photos are yesterday and today; I expect the flower will keep changing over the next week …

Winter Garden Arts in April part 2

Today in front of Winter Garden City Hall was the chalk art event, part of Spring Fever In The Garden and still happening even while the pandemic cancels the garden / plant sales event for the second year. We headed over when judging was happening, and most artwork was finished or close to finished … lots of pictures follow and let’s hope the expected rain doesn’t wash everything away (which did happen a couple years ago!)

Winter Garden Arts in April

Winter Garden has various outdoor arts events planned this month (see here) and a number of downtown businesses have artworks painted onto their windows, some really impressive! Here’s a selection:

There’s a few permanent mural artworks too, including this spectacular hummingbird:
