Grandview isn’t much like Goosenecks (in Utah) that we visited years ago – there’s a lot more trees for one, but it is still an impressive river meander curve that was worth driving to!

Another driving destination today was New River Gorge which we drove right over to begin with, getting lunch in town then heading back to visit the park! The bridge itself is impressive, spanning a quite deep gorge – and driving the old winding road down to the river level, over the old bridge, and back up, is a fun journey too with many views of the new bridge high above!










More driving, and more water views! We had seen this watermill view often when reviewing things to do in West Virginia – and it is pretty but what is less reported is that it’s a “fake” with the mill built quite recently!
