I’ve always been impressed by the Eagle Owl, years ago I visited the Hawk Conservancy and had a Polaroid taken while an Eagle Owl sat on my (gloved) arm … today unexpectedly in the middle of York, were many Owls and a chance once again to be next to an Eagle Owl!
In York for a couple days, which has much of it’s original Roman city walls still solid and walkable – so we did!
Inside the walls, remains of various York Castles over the centuries, including Cliffords Tower which, on top of it’s man-made hill, offers scary but impressive views of York City:
We can see the wall where we’re staying too – it’s garden backs on to it!
