Vacation

Another longer drive today, of about 460 miles, taking us from San Antonio, down past Houston to Galveston, across the (free!) ferry and on in to Louisiana, industrial-looking Lake Charles and stopping overnight in Lafayette, where we just had an excellent dinner 🙂

After our boat tour, we walked along the river and through the city, to the Alamo – a real piece of American History …

This morning, in the cooler (80s) weather, we took a 1/2 hour tour around the city on a boat – inexpensive ($8.25 each) and recommended!
