On our way to Wells-Next-The-Sea, we stopped for lunch and visited the ancient Castle Rising, very impressive!

We visited Margaret’s sister Kate and her husband Chris, in their now fully rebuilt home in Heckington – which is a lovely small village in Lincolnshire; while this time we didn’t visit the famous windmill, I did walk around the village and collect some views:

While we had visited Alnwick back when we lived in Newcastle, Alnwick Gardens has been created since we emigrated, and when I heard about the “poison garden” there, I wanted to visit … and we discovered lots of beautiful water features there, too!

The poison garden has various dangerous plants (some have to be eaten while some cause extreme skin reactions so should not even be touched! Many are in cages for our protection) …
