A photo in the hotel in York led us to a trip to Brimham Rocks for a beautiful walk among huge boulders, with fabulous Yorkshire Dales views!

England 2018: York and the minster
Our England tour began with a stay in York, walking around the roman city walls, walking through the (narrow) shopping streets, and visiting York Minster. Like many English towns, York is compact and perfect for walking – and full of history!
Bok Tower Gardens
We diverted to Bok Tower Gardens on our way home today, touring the gardens, the Pinewood Estate home, and visiting the tower too. The gardens are quite spectacular, on par with some of the great English country home gardens – though rather warmer weather! It’s a shame you can’t get close to or up the tower, but with my high zoom camera I captured much of the detail in it …
