Longleat Safari VIP tour
Today we visited Longleat and got a “private tour” in a Jeep, taken for closer-than-most views of the animals; a fabulous experience, well recommended! We had little time to do anything else, except admire the Stately Home:
And then, in our tour Jeep, and off on our private safari:
The cliffs near Beachy Head
We took a trip today along the coast to Birling Gap – a place where the sea is swallowing the land, and where it’s easy to admire the “white cliffs”; these cliffs are eroding fast, and buildings are vanishing as years pass – note the rubble at the base of the cliffs:
We then took a walk along the cliff top towards Beachy Head (we’d planned to walk all the way, but there were more up/down sections than anticipated); the walk gets pretty close to the edge in some spots!
