Before leaving the Disney / Orlando area yesterday, we played Fantasia Mini Golf (Margaret won); then some final shopping at the Downtown Disney stores:

Florida 2006 – Animal Kingdom

Last full day in the Orlando area, so we hit the last Disney park, Animal Kingdom …

In the distance, the new Mount Everest (and the roller coaster ride inside it) dominates the sky … Only Margaret braved this ride – and only once!

There are also lots of animals in Animal Kingdom (!); and a bird show:

We finished our last day near Disney at La Nouba, the fabulous Cirque Du Soleil show – but no pictures allowed there!

Florida 2006 – MGM/Disney

After Gatorland, we headed to the MGM/Disney park for a late lunch at the Sci-Fi Dine-In Theater; then we enjoyed a few rides (Muppets 3D is the best!) and met Buzz Lightyear:

Finally we headed to Phantasmic, the end-of-day show with fire, water, and many evil characters all being defeated by Mickey Mouse. Some of the show is projected onto sprayed water – it looks amazing but is very hard to photograph!
