With another 6″ of snow falling overnight here in Newcastle, we’re not doing much but watching through the window for a while – but the bird feeder provides entertainment with English bird visitors like this Blue Tit:
A bit of a surprise for it to be colder, with more Snow, than back home … we landed about 7:30pm UK time Saturday, got the rental (a quite nice Ford Fiesta) and headed north, covering about 200 miles / 4 hours before stopping at this pub / hotel in Boroughbridge near the A1:
This morning we drove the last 80 miles to our Friends Sheila & Paul near Newcastle; the roads got worse as we approached – and their road is not treated at all, making the uphill climb challenging to say the least! For England, this is a lot of snow!
