Another day of blasting cold winds, and the Essex river has thick ice over the water, and over-spilling the banks too!

Frozen in one night!
The weather got seriously cold overnight with high winds blowing down from Canada; it was 12f (-11c) when I left for work this morning, and just like that the Essex river is frozen!
Pond ice
The cold weather is coming with a vengeance; it’s supposed to drop to around 15f tonight (-9c) and the icy Canadian winds have already dropped the temperature from a reasonable 40f to 30f (below freezing) … result, ice on the pond!
A thin layer so far, but it’ll get thicker 😦
