Epcot before Milton

It’s always a bit quieter at DisneyWorld before a hurricane comes – some tourists cancel their plans, and some locals are busy prepping … we often head down for a quieter day in the parks, and today we went to Epcot. We got to ride Soarin’ and Ratatouille (when it wasn’t broken) and Spaceship Earth, and met a couple Anna and Elsa; we couldn’t do Nemo because it was broken …

We also had lunch for the first time at Spaceship 220; it’s expensive but we had great service and the theming is interesting …

An evening at Epcot

Yesterday afternoon Margaret & I drove to Epcot with friends Linda & Berch, to enjoy the location and have dinner at the Moroccan restaurant.

When we arrived the park seemed happily quiet and we did a “walk on” to Spaceship Earth! After dinner we rode Ratatouille (which did have a long wait), and both Living With The Land and Soarin’ (where were both near walk-on). We also got VERY wet with a heavy ten minute storm! By the time we’d done Soarin’ it was almost 9pm so we stayed for the fireworks. Photos of course:

Grand Floridian Easter Eggs 2024

While visiting Epcot yesterday we also took the monorail over to the Magic Kingdom resort area and checked out the annual chocolate easter egg display at the Grand Floridian resort – the first one we saw was Alice In Wonderland, and was definitely the favorite! The last two photos are of an “in progress” design …

We then took the monorail to the Contemporary resort where there were a few more Easter Eggs to see:
