A couple of weeks ago, in wet weather, my driver side headlight did not come on; in the heavy rain earlier this week the headlight once again did not light:
Further to my recent entry on changes to the 2005 MINI range, I was looking at this official MINI site this evening. It lists a number of changes I had not noticed before:
MINI Cooper S next-generation supercharger
Body colour mirror cars
Powerfolding mirrors (previously available in some markets)
MP3 compatible CD player
Anthracite headlining (must make a very dark interior!)
Clock moved into speedometer display
Redesigned door grab handle / arm rest (maybe easier to put things in the pocket now?)
“Shark fin” antenna scrapped
It is a shame that you cannot pick the best of the changes, and keep the things you don’t want changed …
Today went very well, with reasonable weather and excellent company. A total of 15 MINIs met at Beverly Hospital this morning, for a 9:30am breakfast and some speeches – a good breakfast was provided by the hospital, including bagels as well as bacon/sausage/egg/etc. Thanks!
Deborah introduced the special guests (those not driving MINIs!) and a special gift basket was presented to State Representative Mary Grant who is also a caregiver.
Next the MINIs headed out to deliver a total of 9 gift baskets to a selected caregiver in each of Beverly, Wenham, Hamilton, Manchester, Magnolia (Gloucester), Rockport, Essex, Ipswich and Topsfield. Special thanks to the Topsfield police for making our crossing of route 1 extremely easy!
