A “tradition” at the end of British Invasion (see also 2003 and 2004) is to follow Jason around as he leads a groups of MINIs around the back roads of Vermont – he lives locally and knows the roads well!
This year only three MINIs joined in, perhaps due to the damp weather – but we still had fun and got in a couple of photo ops; the weather made the winding downhill section particularly challenging – I was very glad to follow Jason, knowing that he knew the road well …
That stretch of road (route 17 / the App Gap) is much more fun going in the opposite direction from what we did. But, given the downpour on the west side of the mountain, perhaps we made the correct choice.
Ian I saw you driving up I89 to Stowe on Friday late afternoon as I was traveling home from work. Unfortunately i had to work at the Tunbridge fair this weekend, I would have come up to Stowe.
I saw SEVEN MINI’s on Friday, five on interstate, plus two in the parking lot at the fair – that is easily a record for me here in VT.
BTW… thanks for the auto up circuit, it arrived last week.
