It was dark when I got home last night. And I parked facing forward to approached GPMINI from the back this morning. So I only noticed this at lunchtime today … While we were in Florida, someone decided it would be hilarious to B.B. GPMINI – there’s still a B.B. trapped in the headlight surround, proving it’s not stone chips! At least 3 or 4 hits on the hood, and two big smacks on the windshield … GPMINI will be visiting Sublime Restorations now, for a new windshield and probably a repainted hood 😦

I suppose I should be glad that GPMINI is still mine, and not stolen and torched as happened to someone else recently!

  1. Ian, thats terrible! I know you can get it put right, but what what an awful thing to have happen. Looks like a direct attack on the GP and not just stray gunfire.

  8. Just to clarify, Gabe … GPMINI was at home in MA while we visited Florida.

    But I’m now tempted to relocate GPMINI to Florida (garaged) … I’ll have to decide between the protection of a garage and no snow, and the loss of being able to drive it (only then when I go down for sunshine!)

  9. So sorry to learn about this incident Ian. Some loser is really set out to make your life miserable. BB gun shots today, what then next time? broken glass? Smashed roof? Torched? Maybe you should consider getting a garage built or park the cars elsewhere. I am afraid this will not be the first or last time this act of vandalism.

    Some people lead miserable lifes and can not stand others having nice things, let alone respecting private property!

    And while you are at it, maybe you should install a 24 hour webcam.

    Interesting that your GP got attacked and not the R56.

  10. I hope you’re wrong … I think this is some one-off likely triggered by drunk teens having partied New Years at the nearby reservoir

  12. I am always amazed at how stupid people are when in their teens. I know I did some pretty dumb things then as well, though nothing like this.

    Have to admit that is amazing the BB got sutck in the light ring like that. Probably could not get it to happen again on purpose in 50 tries.

  16. wow that just sickens me to look at these pictures. That is just so wrong. I hope who ever did that falls into the reservoir and drowns a miserable death though I agree stealing and torching would be far worse. Interesting why they targeted GP and not the R56. Was the BMW parked in the driveway as well?

  18. Very sorry to learn of this incident. If it was done by partying teens, there may have been other vandalism in the area. Check with your neighbors.

  21. Damn, Ian. That’s just ridiculous. Malicious or drunken, or not, it’s ridiculous for someone to randomly strike out like that.

    Keep us updated on the repairs.
