The saying goes “March comes in like a lion, and goes out like a lamb“, and today’s weather forecast suggests the first part of that phrase is coming true …

Local TV channel WHDH reports“heavy snow through the morning commute. Becoming lighter by late morning/early afternoon. Patchy light snow continues through the day. 10-15″ likely with this storm in many places” – as you can see in the map above, Gloucester is in the 10″-14″ area.
Right now, Sunday morning, light flakes have begun – but this is nothing compared to what is coming, apparently.
Also right now, live on WHDH they’re saying that we’ve have 55″ of snow SO FAR this year in Boston, that’s 21″ ABOVE the average for the same time period – it definitely seemed like a snowy winter, and there’s the proof! They’re also saying that tomorrows storm will exceed the normal average for the whole of March! Oh goody 😉
UPDATE:
The “vanguard” snow of this morning is turning in to quite the storm on it’s own – we saw one car backwards & smashed on our shopping trip this morning! Looks not good for the main snow due later tonight / tomorrow 😦
