MINI of Peabody is holding a MINI Countryman tailgate event today, including a Chili cook-off! I chatted to Ryan at The Farm and got some Chili cooking tips, and Margaret and I bought, prepared and cooked the ingredients (including steak that we chopped up, rather than using ground beef, hot jalapenos, onions, peppers, and assorted flavors including the “secret” ingredient!) … It looks and tastes pretty good 🙂
Now it’s off to MINI …
Here’s my list of spices cinnamon, cumin, dried greek oregano, Santa Fe Hatch chillies, Rancho de Chimayo red and green chili powders. Like Tabasco’s regular and their chipotle sauce. The meats, Andouillle and Portuguese sausages, I use chuck for my beef cut into 1″ cubes. Tequila is another good thing. And that’s all you’ll get from me.
I did win a Chili Cook off back in about 1990.
Good Luck.

Good sausage sounds like a great idea – but isn’t 1″ cubes a bit big?
Naw they shrink. Sorry you didn’t win.
