MTTS day 11 extras

This evening I met Mark Vogler, creator of GoMotoring.com which has been essential to me during MTTS to quickly check on “updates around the MINI world” – Mark also drives Twister and has a weblog for it; he wants everyone to sign the decals on Twister during MTTS tomorrow! I also “met” this classic Mini converted to a BBQ grille, brought here by MINI of Pittsburgh:

Sadly the heavy rain from Ernesto rained out the open air movie tonight – instead a different movie was offered in a local cinema (but I watched Over The Hedge in the room instead!)

MTTS 11 – bad weather and a near miss

Todays drive was recommended to travel Ohio River Byway 52 – more interesting than the highway. But long and with few passing places, and little chance to see the river …

Unfortunately, the weather deteriorated as we approached Charleston, and suddenly a bad driver travelling with no lights and hassling us too closely, loses control and spirals towards Georges GP in front of me – thankfully he spotted her and braked, avoiding most of the impact, suffering just a split in the front bumper!
So everyone’s fine, but we were very glad to reach the hotel tonight!
