Packed and ready to go!

Tomorrow morning Margaret & I fly to Monterey, CA to enjoy a couple of days vacation before picking up GP #0203, and then hitting the road on MINI Takes The States!
I’ve packed – I found “chili red” and a “thunder blue” luggage, and I’m also accompanied by Quack Quack Jack:

QQJ ready for MINI Takes The States

Quack Quack Jack is a tribute to Ed Smith, a friend to all including so many people worldwide in the MINI community – and QQJ has travelled the world over the last year – he just got back from a trip to Alaska! Now he will travel coast to coast on MINI Takes The States.

QQJ has his own travel booklet – hopefully MINI owners across the country will leave messages for others to read; just find me and QQJ!x

MTTS pack arrives

Comfortably in time for my trip to Monterey, my MINI Takes The States registration pack arrived today:

Contents include a welcome note, car sticker, travelogue (custom notebook!), quarantine kit and a couple of MTTS armbands (the key to the event – without them you can’t join in the planned events!):

Curiously, although we were told to register each attendee, the two armbands per registration pack allow a driver and passenger … since I (and many people) correctly registered my passenger (Margaret) separately, there’ll be loads more armbands than people – good for last minute folks, not so good for head count planning!

MTTS – Stick It!

With MINI Takes The States coming up fast, Todd (famous on White Roof Radio) has brought out some fabulous MTTS designs on his website, Todds Mods:

I bought a sticker (above) and a magnetic badge – both are beautiful and incredible quality; the stickiness of the sticker is amazing, I don’t think it’ll ever peel off my file … and my fridge is now nicely MTTS decorated so Margaret can see my route next month 😉
