The Great Ice Cream Run (Day 1)

[catch up post!]

Monday June 22, The Great Ice Cream Run took us along the length of the Skyline Drive, to a great Ice-Cream stop at lunch, and on to Frackville, PA, for Ice-Cream on top of a “mountain”🙂

We did see a Bear – actually two Bears – on Skyline Drive, but they vanished quickly … so we photographed this slower moving “Bear”; on the other hand, these are real Deer!

Choices at Superior Ice-Cream lunch stop:

An evening at Heisler’s, with Ice-Cream:

Enrico’s and Howard’s

In 2007 TGICR was guided to Enrico’s for dinner since we’d all existed on little but Ice-Cream for days! And pizza there was really good (so was service) so this year it was a planned stop.
Showing up an-announced with 20 people did not phase them (much) and all was just as good as two years ago 🙂

After pizza, more Ice-Cream! We had to phone ahead and get them to stay open a little late, but with a fun 10 mile run we got there and had “baby” servings much too big to eat, for just $2 each! Howard’s is recommended for inexpensive excellent Ice-Cream 🙂
