I’ve mentioned this before; years ago there was a railroad right through downtown, running where the West Orange Trail is today, in the middle of Plant Street. Recently the Winter Garden Heritage Museum posted a photo of Plant Street from back when the railroad was still present:
I tried this morning to take a photo from similar location – though it’s tricky with the trees much bigger now!

A walk down to Newton Park showed us a couple of Alligators, and a LOT of lilies in flower!
Today in front of Winter Garden City Hall was the chalk art event, part of Spring Fever In The Garden and still happening even while the pandemic cancels the garden / plant sales event for the second year. We headed over when judging was happening, and most artwork was finished or close to finished … lots of pictures follow and let’s hope the expected rain doesn’t wash everything away (which did happen a couple years ago!)
