It’s July 4 so no work; normally it’s parades, outdoor bbq, and lots of sun – but we had lots of rain overnight and it’s all wet instead. Some nice pictures still though:
It took a long time to get the fish pond sorted this year – early warm weather and away till April meant the pond was very green and took forever to clear; we finally resorted to changing out more than half the water last week, which worked! Looks greenish from this angle, but it’s actually clear to the bottom …
Margaret has been busy recently in the garden, including creating a whole new plant area in the front – and when we got home, there were some lovely new flowers there:
UPDATE: Now on June 21, the other flowers have opened – more yellow and taller (one of the earlier orange ones can be seen too):
