New York 2022: The High Line

This morning we walked north along the Hudson River to find the “High Line“, once an aerial railroad bringing goods into the city, and now a beautiful aerial walkway. On our way, we found “Little Island”, a walkable “sculpture” on the edge of the river, also beautiful!

Continuing on, we found the High Line and walked the full open length (part at the end wasn’t open, too early in the season!) … in places the old tracks are still present, and the whole walk is very nice and a change from the busy streets of New York City! We ended at Hudson Yards and “The Vessel“, a huge golden sculpture that was also closed …

New York 2022: Views

We spent a week in New York City, with views from our room and on walks around the city. On our first night we walked to China Town returning to where I previously had excellent sweet and sour chicken (and had it again!) … here’s an assortment of views both from our room and on walks as far as the Empire State Building:
