There’s heaps of “collectible” stuff during MINI Takes The States – if you don’t attend, you’re missing out!
Some of the stuff is freebies, included in the MTTS bag available at each days departure point – one of the nice things in it is the MTTS road atlas:

But there’s also stuff you have to pay for – the MTTS Tshirt, metal badge and keyring for example:

Finally for now, there’s the SCMM Tshirt I bought at the Barstow pitstop yesterday …

MTTS day 3 – Route 66, the Grand Canyon and a clean car

Today was an early start, because I wanted to visit the Grand Canyon on the way to Flagstaff … met up with five other MINIs so the drive was much more fun than previous days!


First stop – Hoover dam:

Now, more driving – heading to Route 66 in Kingman, and an early lunch in Kingman, at Mr. D’z:

Then off again towards the Grand Canyon – we saw some amazing clouds (and lightning) on the way, but we only had a short rain burst …


And we made it to the Grand Canyon – complete with Quack Quack Jack:

Finally in Flagstaff, there was a car wash organized by MINI Takes The States, raising money as part of Motoring Hearts – it was popular!

 

Oh – it’s much cooler here in Flagstaff (92f when I got up in Las Vegas this morning, only about 70f now here!)
